Ever since I opened and started writing in this space, the most recurring question was: Are you a Pickup Artist (PUA)?
For those who don’t know, these PUA people are groups of men who researched, created and then executed techniques solely aimed at picking up women. They really built a science out of attracting, seducing and dating and went far enough to even invent their own terminology. The most impressive thing about these guys is what they say and believe actually works. You can follow their instructions and if your sole goal is to get a woman, you might well do it.
But there is a deep flaw with the PUA: these people just don’t believe in love. Read through their guidebooks and not even once will you find that word – and that’s sad. Men who work with their material or go to their seminars (they even got seminars!) will not fix their deepest problems. You could master all their methods, but that still won’t teach you how to be happy.
Wise men should just focus on being happy. That’s perhaps the most important thing I could teach you all: focus on being happy. Sometimes the circumstances are hard; you are lonely and believe that if you follow the PUA you could feel better. But that’s not true. For sure, if you never did, it would be exciting for you to conquer some girls. Yet, remember you want her to make you feel better, to fill that void inside.
Meeting a woman, sleeping with her after just seven hours and then never seeing her again, as these people suggest, is not the right way. For insecure men, those who are not sure of themselves and their feelings, it must be amazing. Yet, women are not things; even if we love it, there’s much more into them than just sole sex. Focus on love. Give love and you will receive love – that way you will be a step closer to archiving the happiness you so far had not.
Of course, you got to be special for them to fall in love with you. But all men can become attractive and our goal is to help. I wanted to make clear which is, from now on, our goal. Women won’t just be sexually attracted to you: they will fall in love with you. Only that way you will be, in the end, happy.

Yeah, a “PUA” is not something you want to be called. I think PUA are just out for some action, IMO.

I fervently disagree with all of this. Society has too many negative connotations of why the PUA exists. I can’t speak for all pickup artists but, I can speak for myself as one. “Meeting a woman, sleeping with her after just seven hours and then never seeing her again, as these people suggest, is not the right way. For insecure men, those who are not sure of themselves and their feelings, it must be amazing”. Assholes do hit it and quit, a real pickup artist is in it for the long run. Any man can call themselves a pickup artist… but, a real PUA has convictions about how and why hes play the game. And, he doesn’t just leave women all by their lonesome after ONE hot steamy physical affair. A real pickup artist truly enjoys the chase and the challenge. A real pickup artist… is an alpha male. If you don’t what the alpha male is all about then you better find out… AND FAST! There is a huge difference between the alpha male and the common JERK. He’s not your average guy, and the no jerk could ever stand up to an alpha male, not even their wildest dreams. Trust me, I know!
And, of course you won’t see the L-Word(too often) in a book written by a pickup artist. There are writing about how to attract women, not fall in love with them. But, I personally guarantee you… sign up for any world renowned pickup artist’s weekly email update letter and you will hear them talk about love once in while. I didn’t become a pickup artist to get laid senselessly every night. I have my own personal motivation for doing for doing so. But, thats a tale in and of itself reserved for another time. You should all look to the individual PUA before you set fire to all of them. None of you ever thought about it but, this website… represents the seduction community as a whole, just as much as any individual pickup artist does. I’m proud of who I am and what I represent… and I am definitely not a jerk… by any standards. You can love me or hate me but, it gon make me or break me.

There’s a lot of truth in what you say Zian. I wrote this way about PUA because many (and many who aspire), I believe don’t do it for the noble cause of love. But it’s something very sensible, tough to discuss and we could go on forever. It’s great that you have your point of view and explain it well. I’m sure that many who read this site will have your line of thought!
