Preparing The First Date

There is a lot to prepare when heading for a first date. The place to go, what to wear… All these flow the minds of men prior to the big moment. But there is one aspect that is often overlooked: what are you going to speak about.

There is no rule about that. Each girl is different and you have to adapt your speech to your particular date. Prepare the talking to go around what that girl will be interested and thrilled about and you are highly likely to succeed.

How To Prepare

Think about this as homework. Just as you have to study for an exam or research for an interview or meeting, you also have to analyze your date. Especially, you have to find out what she likes and what she is most passionate about.

Once you have that information in hand you can prepare jokes, teases and create those long and thoughtful conversations that really matter. This way you’ll be focusing on the important from the beginning and making the date more successful.

There are many ways to get this information. Use the channel you are most comfortable with:

Social Media Profiles. Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, you name it. You will surely have the chance to take a look and see which are her favorite movies, music and what is she interested about. Take note of what she often writes about, how she replies to friends, her style, etc. If you take your time you will learn which are the right keys to press.
Ask Friends. If you have friends in common, ask them about her. Ask what it matters: what does she like? What is she passionate about? Is there something about her that I should know? Find that out.

Everything matters and having this extra information will be an advantage the moment when you are together. Abstract what can make a good conversation: is she a fanatic vegetarian? Did she live in multiple countries? Whatever she seems really passionate about is where your talking should go.

Putting The Plan In Action

Knowing more about her will put you in control. There will be less to surprise you and you will feel more confident from the beginning to the end. Just make sure to be well calibrated.

For example, if she is passionate about vegetarianism don’t bring that up first. Make things naturally flow to that topic. Make a few jokes and be delicate when choosing what to ask and what to speak about. If you look as if you had really studied her you risk being very creepy.
