From my three speed dating events I met about 15 to 20 women at each one for a total of about 50 women. As described in the article above, you fill out a form at each event stating which women you want to date. So from the 50 or so women I picked about 15 women. From that I received 1 date and that 1 date never went beyond the 1 date. What I have learned from my experience is that you have to be very focused with each woman if you want to make a determination of whether or not to date her. With only 2 to 5 minutes each, you don't have the luxury of relaxing and just seeing where the conversation will go. So, all in all, I don't find speed dating a good way to get dates. It can be a little fun and a way to meet people but for the most part you will never see the people you meet there again. Also, the companies that organize these speed dating events, generally segregate the events to different age groups, like over 40 for one group, under 40 for another group, so if you are interested in meeting women of all ages, you won't be doing it at these speed dating events. I probably won't go to speed dating again though I wouldn't mind going to one if the age limitation was lifted. But I don't believe that will happen anytime soon.
