Athens maybe dirty, but the Greek Islands are spectacular, a paradise on Earth. I've been there myself and I can assure everyone that whoever goes he or she will have an excellent time. Same with Venice - Whoever says that Venice is "smelly" (which is not) over all things surely doesn't have any appreciation on the magnificence that is a top renaissance city built on water. Venice is no less than jaw-dropping. Barcelona, Krakow and Vienna are also great options, I agree. I have been to all three - Lived in Vienna, went to Krakow 2 times and one to Barcelona. Greece is full of dirt,and full of agressive people. It's hard to enjoy there antything exept low price. Venice is really smelly place and Italians rather don't speak English.
